WHO IS THIS SPANISH IMMERSION RETREAT FOR?

This immersive Spanish retreat is intended for all Spanish lovers who want to not only get the gist of the language but also immerse themselves in Spanish-speaking culture while studying and traveling. If you are a beginner in Spanish or you want to advance your current skills, you are going to learn a full Spanish-Entry-A-level course that will leave you with great basic conversational Spanish skills and hopefully the best memories of Cuba!

You will learn about the best methods for effective language learning through methodic workshops that teach you not only the theory but will be put into practice day by day when going about the Cuban life!

If you haven’t done a language retreat before, this is the time to savour the benefits of learning while you dive into the cultural aspects of a society.  Ultimately it will be one of the best things you’ll ever experience (I’m speaking out of experience) and that is why we are more than happy to accompany you on your language learning journey!

Discover Cuba’s most beautiful towns and breathtaking countrysides on our itinerary.

Havana and Trinidad

With its lively atmosphere, non-stop music playing on the streets, people, dance, history, culture, the Cuban capital Havana is an unforgettable place to visit. Dive deep into the Cuban world for as long as 12 days and feel how it like to be and live like a Cuban! You will be surprised at how much you’ll learn in just 12 days of traveling and interacting with Cubans on an intense immersion.

Read our full Havana and Cuba guide here in our latest blog post!

Havana is the biggest city in Cuba, so we will take our time to explore different sites and activities throughout the first week. Each morning you will have Spanish lessons from 9 am-12 am, right after a homemade typical Cuban breakfast at our villa apartment. After classes, you’ll have time to either cook lunch at home or explore Cuban cuisine in one of the many “paladares” (typical Cuban restaurants) throughout the city. In the afternoon there will be an activity from the ones mentioned.

Trinidad is one of the oldest colonial towns in Cuba and absolutely worth exploring. Some fun activities we’ll explore there include horseback-riding to amazing national parks and swimming in natural waterfalls.

Day 2: Let the weekend begin!

It's Saturday and after sleeping in (at least for a little bit) we'll be waiting for you with a home-made original Cuban breakfast, made by our lovely Cuban hosts, to start the day! This will be your first Cuban exchange where we get to talk and learn firsthand about Cuban culture with our hosts, right at home. After the best Cuban coffee we should be ready to take the day! Let's go and explore Havana in a1960's convertible. While cruising around the city we will get more insight into Havana's and Cuba's history by driving by the most historical sights. In the evening you'll experience Havana's vibrant nightlife with a bar crawl and visit Havana's best night gallery/bar/concert hall/hangout spot Fábrica de Arte. But wait, this is only the beginning!

Day 3: Historical Tour

After our first night out in Havana, it's time to get some rest on a relaxing but definitely not boring Sunday. After all, we are in Havana! Sundays in Havana are best known to happen at the infamous Callejón de Hamel, the hub of Afro-Cuban culture! Learn all about Afro-Cuban heritage, religion, dance and so many more traditions that are deeply rooted in Cuba's diverse culture.

Trinidad is right the opposite with its breathtaking natural parks and waterfalls. Activities here are going to be:
  • Natural reserve “Parque El Cubano” visit
